Truth in the Pacific Northwest stands by it's analysis and opinion piece that Joseph Whitcomb and the other current officials are illegitimate as the by-laws recalling MCRP chair were violated in May 2021, thus making the recall null and void, thus Stephen Lloyd remained chair of MCRP, therefore, Joseph Whitcomb could not have been elected chair then or re-elected in November 2024.
Matthew Barron, secretary of MCRP threatened on November 18, 2024 to sue duly elected PCPs (precinct committee persons who are elected by their neighbors to represent Republican voters in the precinct in which they reside), to sue for defamation the speech which the four of them do not like without providing a list of what speech that might be. An email was sent to Joseph Whitcomb, Judy Masterson, Jim Kight and Matthew Barron to preserve all their email correspondence from the August 2024 forward, that such MCRP email evidence is preserved given the MCRP secretary's threat of a lawsuit.
At the February 5, 2025 MCRP meeting Whitcomb stated (it's on video, the editor sent notification prior to the meeting that it would be recorded) that at the July 2021 ORP meeting in Florence, Oregon, the first minutes Whitcomb presented to ORP in July 2021, that the ORP told Whitcomb those minutes "did not have enough information to conclude" for ORP to comment on if the recall was valid. Thus,Whitcomb said that "MCRP secretary Yates had to revise the minutes" and the minutes were revised and sent to the ORP." Whitcomb said, "Down the road they determined the recall was valid." Whitcomb did not say who in the ORP made such a determination and at "what time down the road" that happened.
A secretary of any county or state political party in Oregon can't simply rewrite minutes just because they want to do so.
Whitcomb at the February 5, 2025 meeting submitted no documentation ORP made such a determination nor did Whitcomb give the name of such person who Whitcomb claims "said so".
August 15, 2024 ORP secretary, Jo Rae Perkins wrote to the editor:
"As for MCRP. There is really nothing the ORP can do other than mediate. Each County GOP is its own entity under umbrella of the ORP. Our only oversight is to make sure they do not violate ORP bylaws - that is to make sure the county GOP bylaws are not in conflict with the ORP bylaws or state statutes."
The coup recall on Stephen Lloyd in May 2021 is, therefore, shown, to have been in conflict with the ORP by-laws, a proven fact, thus, the recall was null and void. Right after the moment of the recall vote of Stephen Lloyd the body had to immediately elect a new chair which they did not do instead ended the meeting.Eye witness May 2021 observations saw that immediately after the recall vote was announced some of the PCPs who voted to recalled Stephen Lloyd left, and more were in the process of leaving, thus if an immediate vote was taken to elect a new chair, the recall leaders weren't sure if they had enough votes to vote in Whitcomb, thus the reason for delaying the election of a new chair, the take some observers made that night.
Whitcomb claimed he had nothing to do with the recall. If true, if Whitcomb is a man of principle and integrity, then Whitcomb, Judy Masterson, Jim Kight and Matthew Barron of the MCRP executive committee must resign and Stephen Lloyd must be brought back to chair the MCRP.Whitcomb should resign as well for simply knowing the Proud Boys were brought into patrol the neighborhood on the public sidewalks, including where they were specifically told to not let Margo Logan entered into the building (there is video evidence of this). Such orders to the Proud Boys to harass Stephen Lloyd's witnesses, was interference with voting at the May 2021 recall meeting. How many other Stephen Lloyd supporters did they intervene with on the sidewalk, what did they say to them, how many of Stephen Lloyd's supporters might have been dissuaded from even trying to go in?
The Proud Boy scheme is actually a long time dirty trick of the Multnomah County Democrat Party that goes back to 2000 election when the Democrats stopped Ralph Nader from getting on the ballot that year in Oregon for the presidential race.
If the Oregon Republican Party is going to return to Constitutional, Bill of Rights principles, they cannot have chairs of county parties hiring Dan Tooze of the Proud Boys (done via Clackamas County Republican Party as well) to harass citizens, to harass PCPs or put in writing a county's party intent to sue elected PCPs who represent their neighbors in their precincts.
The principled and right action to take to get the MCRP to go by the rule of law including bylaws, would be for Whitcomb, Masterson, Kight and Barron to resign, and notification sent to Stephen Lloyd that Lloyd continues to be the chair of MCRP.
The Oregon Republican party structure and party personnel is so small now. The MCRP did not send an announcement in September 2023 that the filing period to run to be a PCP was open. Out of over 1200 PCP slots there are only at the moment 116 PCPs, and some of those have quit in disgust. Others who wanted to be appointed PCP, were not appointed to be PCP. Thus MCRP is almost a non-entity, and because of the Recall Coup on Stephen Lloyd, it merely operates as a closed private club, kept small by only allowing Republicans in who they have vetted personally.
Perhaps the future vision is that some kind of a Constitutional and Bill of Rights Trump Political Party will form in Oregon that will then achieve major political party status in the future?
A majority of the Oregon Republican "leaders" in the last 8 years were not really Donald J. Trump supporters. No "leader" joined the Trump Twitter Brigade to stand up, support and advocate for Trump on Twitter.
Those who were Trump supporters, were asked to tone it down and not wear Trump gear for the 90 days in the summer of 2020 when the Kate Brown Recall action was taken. The public loved loved the Trump gear and the Spirit behind the Trump gear and people working to get enough signatures to recall Oregon governor Kate Brown.
Major historical moments have been unfolding since January 20, 2025 and at the February 5, 2025 MCRP meeting, the MCRP "leaders" said nothing about President Donald J. Trump, what he has sacrificed and the work Trump has done and is now doing for all American citizens and legal immigrants.
Dennis Richardson had the key to winning as a Republican in Oregon in 2016. Richardson entire platform was about investigating government agencies who allowed harm to children including the Portland Public School District, Child Protective Services, Foster Care and Day Care. Richardson was a man of Deep Faith who saw his role in government as serving ALL citizens of Oregon, not just the Republican Party.
Dennis' election like Donald J. Trump's 2024 election was TOO big to RIG when Dennis got over 250,000 non-Republican votes. No Republican campaign used Dennis Richardson's template to win.
