TEXAS MEDIA NOW OREGON'S LATEST WANNABE KINGMAKER?
Former President George W. Bush continues to live in Midland, Texas. W. is good friends with former President Barrack Obama who he calls his “…brother by another mother….” Nexstar Broadcasting, Inc is headquartered in Midland, Texas. More and more Americans see the Democrat and Republican parties as one party working together often to the detriment of everyday Americans and legal immigrants.
KATU decided to be the kingmakers in Oregon, but stepped back from that when the outcry went out. Oregonians called out KATU on their “debate criteria” as biased, unfair and looked a little like “cooking the primary election books.” Now KOIN and Pamplin Media with the help of Midland, Texas and the Nelson Research company step in to try their hand at kingmaking?
Who gets to debate? KOIN’s (Midland, Texas) decision lacks important details related to evaluating any survey; in this case by Nelson Research out of Salem, Oregon, in terms of validity and reliability. Bud Pierce, Christine Drazan, Stan Pulliam and Bob Tiernan were chosen when 68% of Oregonians are “undecided”.
When 68% are undecided the proper freedom of the press duty is to present all candidates to the voting public.
Nelson Research does not have the KOIN survey listed on their website including what is most important in evaluating any research and that is the validity and reliability of their research instrument.
With 68% of Oregonians undecided Texas decided the candidates Oregonians can listen to are four candidates. Why those four with low % numbers? In talking to survey subjects on the phone, just how and what did the research callers ask, say or do in those phone calls? Nelson Research did not post their research instruments for Oregonians to be able to evaluate the quality of their survey.
On the Nelson Research company’s website their stated focus in helping their clients includes these modalities of operation including those that “…will win your next campaign.”:
Nelson Research model includes using “intuition”? Did they audio tape their conversations with their research subjects? Handwritten notes? Oregonians would like a demonstration of how they used “intuition” in those 502 phone calls. Where is their research instrument?
In terms of
sample size, it should have been 1000 not 502. And again what research instrument
did Nelson Research develop and use for this survey?
And who might Nelson Research biggest clients be?

As Shakespeare’s Hamlet said, “…ah, there’s the rub…” The Public Schools, the Teacher Unions, the Board of Education, the Superintendent associations, the School Administrators associations…what got started through the Democratic Congress of 1854 that brought in the Prussian school model of the German indoctrination system grew and grew in the United States of America, that metastasized into many other groups, committees, associations with the National Education Association (NEA) being the Trojan Horse created in 1857 with the end goal of sowing socialism into every fabric of America (NEA: Trojan Horse in American Education by Samuel Blumenthal). Oregon was the first state to sign onto the NEA’s socialism plan.
