Is there some Monkey Business going on in Oregon? Kate Brown August 8th wrote she wants you to stop "...cuddling...".
A records request of Oregon legislators was made on August 6, 2022 about whether or not the Governor contacted the elected legislators of Oregon about Monkey Pox, and what she might have said to them.
Some legislators responded promptly to the records request made August 6th with, “no”, they had not. One was kind enough to be helpful to write Governor Brown issued a press release on August 8th.
All Oregonians? The governor buried the lead until paragraph four to identify the Oregonians she was really speaking to which was the community of ”…men who have sex with men.” Reported by NBC News.
The governor might want to consult with the researchers and NBC News about the study as Kate gave erroneous information in her press release. Brown’s press release telling “all” Oregonians not to have “skin to skin” contact, she doesn’t want any Oregonians “…cuddling…”. Kate tells Oregonians, falsely, that Monkey Pox is on “…towels, clothing or other objects…”. Looks like to some Kate Brown is trying to create fear to keep people separated and fearful like she did starting March 2020 when she violated the Emergency Law in Oregon.
Monkey Pox is transmitted through sex. Men having sex with men. From NBC July 23, 2022 News about the study:
Did Kate forget to mention it’s transmitted through anal sex and/or then oral sex? From the NBC News article on the study:
“We have seen patients with severe
rectal pain that worsens every time they go to the bathroom, genital pain every
time they urinate, and throat pain every time they swallow,” said Dr. Jason
Zucker…”
If Kate Brown was meaningfully concerned about the gay community, not her press release just targeting all “Oregonians”, she might have warned of the information in the NBC New report:
“Public health experts also theorize that major LGBTQ Pride gatherings in June may have facilitated transmission of the virus.”
“The study authors reported that 95% of the cases were likely transmitted through sexual close contact. What’s more, their paper offers strong new evidence that anal sex itself, although not necessarily ejaculation, is a major source of transmission.
“The finding that 95% of cases may have been transmitted during sex provides reassurance that this outbreak is primarily caused by very close contact and may explain why it’s been largely limited, so far, to dense social networks of men who have sex with men,” said Dr. Jay K. Varma,
Why didn't Kate order all LGBTQ gathering events to be halted, to be cancelled for the rest of the year? Like how Kate shutdown and destroyed the lives of many Oregonians from 2020-2022?
Where did Kate Brown get her erroneous information for her press release? Did she make it up? TPNW put in a records request to the governor’s office to find out what OHA (Oregon Health Authority) administrator Patrick Allen shared with Kate about Monkey Pox, how it was transmitted and what community was getting it?
July 20, 2022, Oregon only had 9 cases of Monkey Pox. Which counties did Patrick Allen tell Kate Brown the nine cases were in, were the 9 cases associated with the LBGTQ gathering events? Were the events out of state or in Oregon? That’s all important information to put into a press release.
From NBC News: “All the cases were among men, including one transgender man, 98% of whom identified as gay or bisexual. This stark demographic finding is in keeping with data on the outbreak from around the world, such as a recent report from the British Health Security Agency finding that of the 699 monkeypox cases for which there was available information, 97% were in gay, bisexual or other men who have sex with men.”
When TPNW finds out what Patrick Allen (OHA) told Kate Brown it will perhaps clear up why Kate Brown put out a news release for all Oregonians to stop “…cuddling…” and the story will be updated.
