Why did Oregon State Senator Chris Gorsek and Brian Wilson's doctor's name come up on September 15th in Senator Wagner's Chief of Staff's Office? Are the Republican State Senators going to Deny Quorum and Finally have a Win, a win like the Democrats did in 2001?

Strolling through mainly empty legislative offices, and waiting politely at the door of Senator Wagner's office, Truth in the Pacific Northwest heard a phone call from a man, who perhaps was Senator Gorsek's doctor or someone focused on the topic of Gorsek's health; talking to Wagner's Chief of Staff. The man was getting calls from Oregon Democrat State Senators upset about being called to change their vacation plans, wanting to know if Gorsek would actually be showing up or not. 

Brian Wilson's doctor came up in the conversation with a comment about the optics including the phrase of "...being wheeled in with an oxygen tank and an IV drip...". Senators wanted to know if it was "...going to finally be done...". 

The man commented on the public's anger about legislative officials getting paid and not working. The conversation fragments included "...need to know...about transport by 3 pm." 

 The tone of the conversation was as though "elected" Democrat senators were just unelected government employees being ordered around by a boss. 

Mention was made of a bomb threat that three senators received including Wagner. One person made all three calls. It was checked into as not a threat. 

The conversation included that there will be many police at the Capitol on September 17th, a Wednesday. The Session is to start at 10 am. 

No word can be found regarding Senator Gorsek's health on the internet, other than Governor Tina Kotek reporting she was "cautiously optimistic", but included the phrase, "But you know life can intervene." 

 

Truth in the Pacific Northwest, Editor has been asking for three weeks if the Republican state senators are going to deny quorum and have a BIG win for once and for all; and change the dynamic of what happened in 2001 when the Democrats denied Quorum and won BIG? 

With that Democrat win when they denied Quorum, the Democrats got to change the redistricting map which was the start of Democrat wins in Oregon.  

At the time of finishing this report no Republican State Senator has answered the question.

Will the Republicans deny quorum on September 17, 2025 and not allow the vote to be taken, thus saving Oregonian tax payers $5 Billion. 

Where is the transparency of the Oregon Republican Party?

 

 

All State Senate offices were visited with the written question, were the senators going to deny quorum. 

The Legislative offices, some of them are looking more like a homeless environment. It feels like a typical unelected bureaucratic government agency, thus not a thought from Senator Wagner's Chief of Staff and the Democrat Senate's Office Director of Communication about citizens' rights, or a need to visit the offices in person. The line was constituents can talk to them at Town Hall type meetings.

 

Both offices never a thought to tally up the phone calls from citizens about the $5 billion tax bill to be voted on September 17, 2025. Legislative Session to start at 10 am.

Both Democratic and Republican Caucuses will be meeting before then. 

 The House Republicans tallied up the comments and photographed the stack of "oppose" compared to "support". Over 6000 comments were opposed to the $5 billion tax bill to be voted on now by the state senate on September 17th, 2025.

 

It was reported there were some Republican holdouts who would not agree to deny quorum.

No luck so far in finding out who those holdouts are.

Truth in the Pacific Northwest contacted every single Oregon State Republican Senator, and so far, no one has coughed up the names of the holdouts.
